PRIVATE TOURS IN MADEIRA

Explore more with one of our Private Tours in Madeira. Join us and indulge yourself with the colors & flavors that have built this island and, in fact, made it unique!

Geographical location

The island of Madeira has a surface area of 741 km2.

Thanks to their excellent geographical location and mountainous relief, these islands have surprisingly balmy weather. One can expect moderate humidity and pleasant average temperatures of 25ºC in the summer and 17ºC in the winter.

The sea temperature is also very mild, averaging 22ºC in the summer and 18ºC in the winter.

Madeira Walks and Levadas are one of the best ways to explore the heart of this beautiful island.  During our private tours in Madeira, we take you to UNESCO Laurissilva Forest (believed to be 90% primary forest),  with more than 1400km of irrigation channels that bring water to the south areas of Madeira Island.

History

The archipelago of Madeira took on an important role in the Portuguese Maritime Expansion of the 15th and 16th centuries. In fact, its geostrategic position determined the discovery of new worlds. It also contributed to a globalization movement that left its unquestionable mark on the local, national, and global socio-economic model.

The industries of sugar, wine, embroideries, and tourism have their origin in that time. People from Madeira learn how to integrate, learn from, and fraternize with different people.

To celebrate the 600 Years of the Discovery of our islands is to commemorate a History that is re-written every day. In a joint celebration, every inhabitant of Madeira and Porto Santo is called on to make their contribution…
